Immigration Discussion Reflection
I think that this class discussion has been, by far, one of the most interesting and (somehow) productive ones yet. Almost everyone had some sort of original idea or steadfast opinion, and was able to defend or explicate it intelligently. It was universally recognized that illegal immigration was a problem that realistically could not be solved, but creative solutions were discussed anyway; everyone realized that this issue was not black and white (no insinuation intended), but that everyone was somewhere in the shades of gray. Everyone seemed reasonably prepared and comfortable discussing such an inflammatory and controversial subject.
